Linda Piazza currently spends her days editing her social novel, Sycamore Dawn. An Author's Guild member, she is also the author of five young-adult novels published in the U.S. and Germany. The conundrum of how normally nice people can behave with hatred toward others has always absorbed her, but she believes that heroes exist. She looks for inspirational people among the people she meets, women and men struggling against challenges to achieve their dreams. As a summa cum laude bachelor of arts graduate of the University of Houston, she benefited from visiting instructors brought to Houston for the university's nationally acclaimed MFA and PhD programs in creative writing. That program afforded her a cherished opportunity to take an undergrad seminar with Alan Cheuse. Attendance at the 2019 San Miguel Writer's Conference proved equally beneficial as she finishes Sycamore Dawn.
